Essay Competition on the occasion of National Statistics Day Celebration 2021

The Department of Statistics, Cotton University, on the occasion of National Statistics day, is conducting an essay competition as a part of its celebration programme. In this connection, all under-graduate and post-graduate students of our department are invited to participate in writing an essay on the topic “ROLE OF STATISTICS IN THE ENHANCEMENT OF HUMAN PRODUCTIVITY.”
The instructions for the same are listed below:

Type the essay in MS Word (or other word processor applications). |

|
Words limit: Maximum of 1500 words. Failing to comply with this would result in direct rejection of the entries. |

|
The font style: Times New Roman with a Font size of 12. Margins: 2.5cms each side, with justified alignment. Line & paragraph spacing: 1.5 |
|
|
Original, creative writing will be appreciated and plagiarism of a maximum of 25 per cent is permissible. |
|
|
The last date for receipt of entries (in soft copies): 23rd June 2021 |
|

Essays are to be mailed as attachments (both in word and pdf format) to: inzamul.ahmed@cottonuniversity.ac.in with the subject of the mail as “ESSAY FOR NATIONAL STATISTICS DAY”. In the body of the mail, write the following- Name of the participant, Enrolment number, Class (U.G./P.G.) and proper communication address. |
Results of the essay competition will be declared on 29th June 2021 during the online National Statistics Day Celebration event.
Prize money of ₹2000/-, ₹1500/-, and ₹1000/- along with certificates are to be awarded to the First, Second and Third best entries respectively.
