We are delighted to announce that the Department of Statistics, Cotton University is organizing the 2nd Prof Jyotish Baruah Memorial Lecture and Award-giving ceremony. The event will take place on 28th November 2022, starting at 11:30 AM in the Seminar Room 311, MCB Building.

As part of this esteemed occasion, we have the privilege of hosting Professor Madhurjya Prasad Bezbaruah from the Department of Economics at Gauhati University as our distinguished guest speaker. Prof. Bezbaruah will be delivering a thought-provoking lecture on the topic "Inequality in the 21st Century and the Relevance of Universal Basic Income."
